Dr. Jun says there is no better feeling in the world than helping a patient improve their health, oral function, and appearance all at once. He’s seen patients light up with joy when their longstanding pain disappears or they look at their refreshed smile in the mirror for the first time—he lives for these moments! He’s eager to show you what’s possible thanks to modern dentistry, but first, you can start getting to know him below.
Why Did You Decide to Become a Dentist?
Dr. Jun had been drawn to math and science from an early age, but in high school, biology really caught his interest. He knew he wanted to pursue a career in the medical field, so he started volunteering for different hospital departments and shadowed a local dentist. That’s when he realized he’s a hands-on, visual learner, so dentistry was the perfect fit for him.
Where Did You Study Dentistry?
Dr. Jun earned his undergraduate degree from the University of Maryland in College Park before going on to obtain his dental degree at the University of Maryland, Baltimore. Since then, he has completed advanced training focused on dental implants to help patients with missing teeth rebuild their smiles.
Outside of the Dental Office, What Do You Like to Do?
When he isn’t working, you’ll almost always find Dr. Jun spending time with his wife and their young daughter. Making memories with them is his top priority! On any given weekend, they like to go camping together, travel, and visit friends and family. To relax, Dr. Jun enjoys watching soccer.
